PBA, ONEsite Launch Online Global Community
BowlSpace.com to provide place for bowlers to connect onlineSEATTLE (November 21, 2006) — The Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) announced today it has teamed with ONEsite to launch BowlSpace.com, bowling’s new digital destination.
BowlSpace provides a global community wired around bowling content – a place for professional bowlers, recreational bowlers and bowling centers to connect, share and interact. BowlSpace is a rich, digital, multi-media interactive experience for all members of the bowling community that includes much more than socialization.
”The PBA is committed to supporting bowlers and the bowling industry, and BowlSpace is a terrific platform to connect bowlers from all over the world,” said PBA Commissioner and CEO Fred Schreyer. “Social networks are booming, but they are becoming more niche-focused. We are very excited to partner with OneSite on the first-ever social network catering specifically to bowlers.”
Custom features of BowlSpace include pages designed for pros, pages designed for recreational bowlers, a “virtual coach”, highlights from events and a common platform for bowling centers to interact with their local customers. Exclusive content such as interviews with the pros following events will be provided on BowlSpace as well.
“We are really excited about working with the PBA to launch BowlSpace,” said Bill Towler, President of ONEsite. “Bowling has a huge recreational community that to date has been underserved on the web. BowlSpace will change all of that.”
Fans can register their personalized profiles and free BowlSpace page at www.bowlspace.com.
